More than 480 guests attended Mathews-Dickey Boys & Girls Club's 60th Anniversary "Jerseys & Jewels" celebration at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Gateway Arch. The sporty, chic event honored its distinguished history of training, educating and shaping the lives of more than one million children. Year-round programming through the organization is provided to 3,500 children in the arts, academic enrichment, character education, workforce development and STEM. All programs emphasize discipline, dedication, teamwork, cooperation, resilience, self-respect and other like skills. The event raised $558,000 for the organization. Event co-chairs were Anne and Karl Grice, Gwen and Steve Mizell, Kate and Howard Stephens and Keith Williamson, Mathews-Dickey Interim President and CEO Tom Sullivan, board chair Jack Raymond, and board member LaVicki Hart. Former NFL player Brandon Williams served as master of ceremonies.
