The 14th annual Night for the Town gala was a great night for shaking off those pandemic blues at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown St. Louis. The event supported Mission: St. Louis and the nonprofit’s mission to empower people to transform their lives, families and neighborhoods. Proceeds specifically benefit the nonprofit’s three core programs: Beyond School, Beyond Jobs and Beyond Charity. The festivities began with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction, then later guests enjoyed dinner and a program featuring numerous speakers, followed by a live auction.
“Often we make business decisions because there is some profit to be made, but when you see the value of people, you choose to make investments in those people because you believe in them,” says Jason Watson, vice president of workforce development for Mission: St. Louis. “You believe in their future and also the impact that they will have on others, as well. So for me, it’s all about people and the investment of people, ‘cause people are worth it.”
