Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis’ Hope After Dark Gala

Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis’ Hope After Dark Gala

  • Updated

In October, the Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis hosted its annual Hope After Dark gala at PALM Health. Guests were treated to small bites and cocktails while bidding on live auction items and entering a raffle drawing. Hope After Dark, “a day to give” and “a night to celebrate,” raised more than $320,000 toward the nonprofit’s services supporting cancer patients in the community. The 2021 Marsha Wolff-Tina Borchert Inspiration Award honorees were The Smith Family and Waterway Carwash. The evening’s emcee was Y98 St. Louis’ Julie Tristan, and music was provided by Reunion Jazz.

“Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis is a the only provider of comprehensive psychosocial programs offered to anyone impacted by cancer, at any stage of the cancer journey, and all at no cost to participants,” says executive director Lori Thaman. “As a donor-funded organization, we rely heavily on our Hope After Dark fundraising campaign and are very grateful for the generosity of our sponsors and donors.”
