Angels' Arms 20th Annual Stepping Out for the Angels Event
The 20th Annual Stepping Out for the Angels, Angels' Arms' largest fundraising event, went virtual Nov. 14, raising more than $400,000. The event, sponsored by St. Louis financial planning firm Renaissance Financial, celebrated 20 years of supporting foster families in St. Louis and St. Charles. As of early 2021, Angels’ Arms foster homes have been a safe haven to more than 600 children.
KTRS radio personality Heidi Glaus hosted the livestream celebration in St. Louis’ Spot Content Studio, with Angels’ Arms founder Bess Wilfong and event chairman Tom Hartnagel. Hundreds of supporters nationwide viewed entertaining videos, including a Real Housemoms of St. Louis spoof featuring Angels’ Arms foster parents. Also, among other VIPs, St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright and Michael Neidorff, president and CEO of Centene Corporation, made special video appearances. Finally, virtual guests bid on exclusive auction packages and had their donations matched by longtime volunteer Marion Bradford.
