The Dravet Syndrome Foundation’s annual Dance for Dravet fundraiser

  • Updated

This year’s Dance for Dravet event benefiting the Dravet Syndrome Foundation was held at Third Degree Glass Factory, where artist-made glass pieces surrounded the guests. This – the largest national fundraiser for the Dravet Syndrome Foundation – raised over $460 thousand this year, with funds going towards research and effective treatment. Guests enjoyed drinks, food, tie dyed t-shirts by Mike Noss, silent and live auctions and live music. To top it off, glass makers were there to answer questions about their pieces and give demonstrations. Along with Doug Auer, Third Degree Glass Factory founder, the Brennan and Odlaug families were hosts. Tom Ackerman served as MC and auctioneer.

“Dance for Dravet is now the largest fundraiser nationally for the foundation,” event organizer and president of McKelvey Homes Jim Brennan says. “[It’s all] thanks to the overwhelming generosity of St. Louisans.”
