Atrium announces an upcoming exhibition “Duo.” Included will be work by internationally recognized woodcut artist Karen Kunc, accompanied by a selection of handblown glass by regional artist and her late husband, Kenny Walton. Kunc has been at the forefront of woodcut printing almost her entire 40-plus year career. She was recognized early as an exceptional talent and her work has introduced many remarkable techniques which have had considerable influence on past and current printmaking. She has work included in over 100 museum collections including The MOMA, The National Museum of American Art, The National Museum of Women in the Arts, The J.Paul Getty Museum and the Library of Congress. Also, through numerous national and international workshops as well as her former position as the Willa Cather Professor at University of Nebraska, she has inspired and influenced so many in her field. She has shown at Atrium for over 30 years, and we are very proud to present her work again, alongside a selection of glass works by Kenny Walton. A couple who met in graduate school and who had a similar artistic sensitivity, but rarely exhibited together is now featured in our holiday exhibition opening Friday, December 4th. This will be an online exhibition and will include an in gallery installation of select works by both artists.

The gallery is open on a limited schedule, with private appointments for viewing Tuesday-Saturday 11-5. Note, we are observing COVID-19 safety protocols. The show will run through January 30, 2021. For more information and images, please contact the gallery.
