Story: In 19th century England, Lord Aster agrees to undergo a perilous journey in the service of Her Majesty, Queen Victoria: He will transport a cargo box filled with valuables to the exotic land of Rundoon aboard the Wasp, which is commanded by Aster’s boyhood chum, Robert Falcon Scott.

BRAINERD and his business partner, MARIA CLIFFORD, were among a privileged few who recently attended the highly anticipated auction of socialite LILLY PULITZER’s estate in West Palm Beach. Among Brainerd’s acquisitions for the day: three LILIAN MACKENDRICK watercolors and a charming, lidded cabbage box to add to his majolica collection. For her part, Clifford secured Chinese Chippendale cocktail and side tables for her living room.

Local teens helped spread the love this Valentine’s Day by sending area seniors more than 1,000 Valentines as part of Love Letters, a program sponsored by Mid-East Area Agency on Aging (MEAAA), DoSomething.org, Mentor Up and the Meals on Wheels Association of America.
