Story: Jane Eyre, orphaned at an early age, is taken in by her mother’s brother and his family. After his death she is subject to ridicule and abuse by her aunt and cousins, and ultimately dispatched to the Lowood School for Girls at age 10. Living conditions at the institution are squalid, and many of Jane’s classmates die in a typhus epidemic.

The folks from EdgeWild Restaurant & Winery will be opening a second location in the space in early summer. The restaurant will offer more than 20 local microbrews on tap, a full cocktail list and an extensive selection of fine wines by the glass, including EdgeWild label wines and non-EdgeWild label wines. The menu will focus on smaller plates, and will also have a selection of entrees similar to those on EdgeWild’s current menu featuring plenty of local purveyors.

Emmy-nominated actors and real-life married couple, MICHAEL TUCKER and JILL EIKENBERRY, will return to St. Louis to headline a St. Louis Jewish Book Festival event this week. The former L.A. Law co-stars will appear Dec. 10 at the Jewish Community Center for a presentation, followed by an audience Q&A and book-signing. Tucker’s latest book, After Annie, is his first novel.
