We asked for submissions of moms with doppelganger daughters and spitting-image sons, and LN readers did not disappoint. After careful consideration--and a little help from your Facebook votes--we've selected St. Louis' best Mother's Day Look-Alikes. Coming in at first place is Kirk Day School fourth-grade teacher and mother of three, Lisa Engel, and her 8-year-old daughter, Reagan Engel, of Webster Groves. For winning, Lisa will receive a full-service package at Dominic Michael Salon, including a haircut, blow dry, manicure, pedicure and makeup application. Below, we have included some of our other favorite look-alikes, with many so similar it will leave you wondering 'Which is which?'

Unless you’re pushing 100 years old, you probably don’t remember the first wave of electric cars that rolled along America’s roads in the early 1900s. Fast-forward, and what’s old is new again, as a number of automakers are building cars that run on electricity alone.

Newly published author, 13- year-old MATTHEW PEARLMAN, is doing plenty of name-dropping in the pages of his first book, That’s Great Advice! Advice from Pro Athletes for Kids, Written by a Kid. Matthew, a soon-to-be freshman at Valley Park H.S., turns to marquee players like the St. Louis Rams’ STEVEN JACKSON, basketball’s KEVIN DURANT and baseball’s CHIPPER JONES for positive character lessons. The young author has a July 19 book-signing scheduled at Lester’s Sports Bar & Grill in Ladue, from 4 to 7 p.m. When he’s not hobnobbing with the pros, Matthew volunteers as a math and reading tutor at Valley Park Elementary School. Proud parents are DR. BRYAN and LENA PEARLMAN.
There’s an old saying, Any man can be a father, but it takes a special man to be a daddy. Today, we pay tribute to all those dads out there with our Father’s Day Look-Alike contest.

Tournament play began May 8 and will run through May 20.

Who’s your daddy? No need to ask our winners: Little Omar Thurman is definitely a chip off the old block. For being this year’s winning dad, Lance Thurman receives overnight accommodations and breakfast for two at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch.
Here’s an interesting thought: Let’s take every ‘80s teen-angst film ever made, cast look-alikes for ‘80s icons and shove it into a Love Actually multi-storyline format, and do it really, really badly. I mean really badly. Include lines of dialogue like, Justin may have bailed on me but I am not bailing on prom. I don’t really want to waste your—or my—time with this, but I feel an obligation to warn you.
I really like the ‘back to the future’ trend in automotive styling that takes iconic models from yesteryear and freshens them to be relevant and cool in modern times. Such is the case with the new Dodge Challenger. Upon viewing it, my mind immediately went back to the ‘70s when my cousin had a lime green Challenger that was one of the coolest things on four wheels. Fast forward to today: Dodge has resurrected the Challenger name to create a modern car with the iconic styling of the original. When you put the old and new cars together, they really do look alike. Dodge’s Challenger is probably the truest to the original of any of the ‘retro’ cars. Thankfully so, because the original’s long hood, short deck design was the classic muscle car design.
St. Louis magician MICHAEL BARRON has some exciting things up his sleeve: He’s cleared the preliminary round of America’s Got Talent, and will perform live in front of celebrity judges HOWIE MANDEL, SHARON OSBOURNE and PIERS MORGAN. Taping began in Minne apolis last week, and if Barron makes it, he’ll advance to Las Vegas and then Hollywood. Barron, who started performing at 5 years old, is the International Brother hood of Magicians’ World Championship Winner, and has appeared on national and international television. Proud parents are BILL and DEBRA WILLIAMS, founders and co-owners of Lindstrom & McKenney.
For more than a decade, David Meister’s elegant dresses and gowns have been flattering women’s figures.
