There was some excitement in the art world this week, when news surfaced about a hidden painting found beneath Picasso’s The Blue Room. As first reported by the Associated Press, conservators at The Phillips Collection in Washington have long suspected that there might be something under the surface of the 1901 masterpiece. And indeed, they’ve confirmed that infrared imagery has revealed a portrait of an unknown man in a jacket and bow tie, with his face resting on his hand. Who is he? That’s the next mystery to figure out.

The Lobby Lounge of The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis has expanded its bar menu: In addition to some 200 martinis and signature beverages, there are six new summer libations and a decadent Cake Martini inspired by the hotel's recently-launched Ritz-Carlton Cake, that includes vodka, chocolate and orange liqueurs, and a fresh orange twist. Things are about to get wilder at the Saint Louis Zoo. Beginning this Saturday, three new animal habitats will open to the public: The Purina Painted Dog Preserve, the Sun Bear Forest and the Andean Bear Range.
