Nixta Caliente Summer

Even though it has been open for less than a year, Nixta has graced the St. Louis dining scene with its signature Mexican and Mediterranean flavors. With chef Tello Carreon’s talent in the kitchen and owner Ben Poremba’s inspiration, a new summer menu is ready for diners to devour.

Contemporary techniques and inventive recipes are highlighted in dishes like pepita guacamole, black bean hummus and handmade empanadas. For a taste of the sea, ceviche verde with cobia, shrimp, pineapple and aguachile is ready to be reeled in to your plate. Another dish – pulpo – features crispy octopus, fried potato, charred lettuce and mole almendrado. Land favorites will also be available including lamb tacos, duck carnitas and flautas made with local mushrooms, spinach, three cheeses and mushroom crema.

Relaxing al fresco dining can be found at Nixta’s street-side patio where guests are encouraged to arrive with a healthy appetite and to be ready to excite their taste buds. For thirst quenchers, Nixta also offers its housemade Micheladas, along with a curated list of rums, mezcals and tequilas.

Nixta is open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. For some late night fun, Nixta transforms into Bar Limón Thursday to Saturday from 10 p.m. to midnight.
