Many people say staging can make a sincere difference in real estate, as a great first impression can be the difference between a sale and a stagnant property. With so much of the field being aesthetic, it only makes sense that a real estate expert would have a keen eye for style.

Julie Church, commercial agent at McKelvey Properties, has been in St. Louis two and a half years. Outside of her real estate day job, this fashion lover serves on Gateway to Hope’s KaleidoHope committee and with St. Louis Crisis Nursery’s charity events.

Church’s reach doesn’t end there; she takes her style sense to BCBGMAXAZRIA at Plaza Frontenac where she works “very part-time” as a stylist, sharing her expertise with clients and friends. “I find that BCBG and Max Azria are never ‘trendy,’ but rather, they take bits and pieces of trends and translate them into classic, wearable pieces.” She adores shopping, and outside of BCBG notes local boutiques and department stores as favorites. “For workout wear, I love Dimvaloo; for unique pieces, 10denza always has cool things and Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus always have me covered for shoes!”

Church says she considers her personal look polished bohemian. “Over the years, I have learned what looks good on me and what I feel comfortable in,” she says. “I love to dress up, but for everyday, I like a tailored dress or a great pair of pants and then lots of layers, especially cool jackets – you could say I have a jacket addiction!”

Her jacket fashion weakness seems to pop up in all types of outfits. For daily workwear, she describes her self-proclaimed uniform as comfortable heels, pants and a draped blouse, with – of course – a jacket. “I love my jackets,” Church says. “They complete any outfit.”

The start of autumn always excites fashionistas, and Church is no different. “I have been waiting and waiting, and I finally pulled the trigger on a beautiful pair of over-the-knee boots that I plan on wearing with pretty much everything in my closet!” One can assume the jackets will also make an appearance.
