I love that many of today’s brides and grooms are showing their creativity through the flavors they choose for their wedding cake. We have had more couples than ever choosing our banana cake as their primary flavor with vanilla buttercream filling and frosting. Our strawberry cake with strawberry buttercream filling and vanilla buttercream frosting has also been a popular choice—especially for summer weddings. A few of my popular flavor combinations for spring and summer are a white almond cake with one layer of apricot and one layer of raspberry filling. It’s a refreshing, fruitful dessert. For chocolate lovers, I have a chocolate cream filling or a chocolate ganache filling. It is very popular in the fall for me to make a dense and delicious carrot cake with a cream cheese buttercream filling.
