Shannan Sue Swiney and Kevin Christopher Kellogg were married Sept. 9 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in a ceremony officiated by the Rev. Gerard Garrigan. A reception followed at The Franklin Room where guests enjoyed a cocktail hour, dinner, dancing and a late night snack of Lion’s Choice.

The bride is the daughter of Edward and Donna Swiney of Manchester. The bride’s sister-in-law, Shannon Swiney, served as matron of honor and Heather Kellogg, Bethany Kellogg, Abbey Garcia, Carrie Dingman, Katie Sheehan and Katie Hirsch were bridesmaids. Ayden Swiney was a junior bridesmaid. Shannan is employed by Wells Fargo Advisors as a product consultant.

The groom is the son of Robert and Patricia Kellogg of Ballwin. The groom’s brother, Rob Kellogg, served as best man and Tim Carbery, Chris Flaugher, Chad Rooney, Ben Lamperti, Derek Stephens and Shane Swiney were groomsmen. Jack Swiney was a junior groomsman. Chris works as an auditor at Express Scripts.


Shannan and Chris met while attending Saint Louis University, both on sports scholarships. After dating for several years, Chris proposed on Dec. 3 by presenting Shannan with a sterling Christmas ornament engraved with the question: Will you marry me? The newlyweds honeymooned in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and reside in Ballwin.
