John Sheehan of Kirkwood and Victoria Piontek of Webster Groves are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Meghan Catherine Sheehan, to James Rush James IV, son of Rush and Pam James of St. Louis.

The bride-to-be graduated from John Burroughs School in 2000 and Georgetown University in 2004. Currently, she works for Argent Capital Management LLC, as their senior client services specialist. Meghan is the granddaughter of the late C. Wayne Spann and the late Sue Middleton Spann of St. Louis.

The future groom graduated from Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School in 1999, DePauw University in 2003 and Saint Louis University in 2009 with a Master of Business Administration. He is currently a litigation analyst with Lewis Rice and Fingersh. Rush is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Rush James Jr. and Dr. F. Joseph and the late Virginia Hayden, all of St. Louis.

The couple met through a mutual friend seven years ago and became engaged on New Year’s Eve in Florida when Rush proposed at sunset. Following a fall ceremony at St. Joseph Catholic Church and reception at the Saint Louis Club, they will honeymoon in Hawaii and reside in Brentwood.
