Mike and Sarah Vargon of Kirkwood are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Mallory Jane Vargon, to Steven Hyde Galbreath, son of Dave and Kathy Galbreath of Street, Md.
The bride-to-be graduated from Nerinx Hall High School and received a bachelor’s in journalism focusing on magazine editing from University of Missouri. Currently, she works as a freelance journalist.
The future groom graduated from North Harford High School in Street, Md., and the United States Military Academy, West Point with a B.S. in engineering management. Currently, he is a UH-60M Blackhawk pilot in the U.S. Army and is stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas.
Mallory and Steven met in Las Vegas through mutual friends during their senior year of college. After graduation, they moved to Alabama, where Mallory worked for InCircle Entrée magazine and Steven attended flight school. They became engaged in June 2011 during her family’s annual Florida vacation to Greyton Beach. The couple is planning a July wedding at Graham Chapel with a reception at Missouri History Museum. Following a honeymoon to Tahiti, they will reside in Manhattan, Kan.
