Mark and Sue Hendrix of Clarkson Valley are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth, to James Christopher Vasquez, son of Harry and Sharon Vasquez of Chesterfield.
The bride-to-be graduated in 2002 from Marquette High School and from DePauw University in 2006, where she was a member of the cross country, track and field, and equestrian teams, as well as Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She is currently attending Logan College of Chiropractic. Lauren is the granddaughter of Joyce Large of Chesterfield.
The future groom graduated in 1998 from Chaminade College Preparatory School and earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing in 2002 from Saint Louis University. He works in advertising sales for Suburban Journals.
James proposed Christmas Eve 2007, and an April wedding is planned at the Jewel Box in Forest Park, with a reception at Missouri Athletic Club. Following a honeymoon in the Caribbean, the couple will reside in St. Louis County.
