Duane and Gayla Christensen of Wellington, Fla., formerly of Town & Country, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Lindsey, to Thomas Anderson Biggs, son of Jack and Betsy Biggs of Creve Coeur.

The bride-to-be is a 1996 graduate of The Principia School. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in business administration and communications from Trinity University in 2000. She works as director of marketing and sales at The Palantir Fund.

The future groom graduated from Ladue Horton Watkins High School in 1988 and from Southern Methodist University in 1992 with a bachelor of arts degree in economics. He is currently VP of sales at J.D. Fields & Company. He is the grandson of Andy Payne of Ladue.

Despite growing up only a short distance away from each other in St. Louis, the two didn’t meet until introduced by mutual friends in Houston. One year after meeting, Tom surprised Lauren with a ring while on their daily run through Memorial Park in Houston with their dogs. A November wedding is planned in Palm Beach, Fla. Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple will reside in Houston.
