Mr. and Mrs. John Morrison of Ladue are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Marie Morrison, to David Russell Flanders, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marc Flanders of Chesterfield.

The bride-to-be graduated from John Burroughs School in 1997 and magna cum laude from Lafayette College with a B.A. in psychology in 2001. She works in human resources as a benefits coordinator for Breads of the World LLC, a franchisee of Panera Bread, LLC. Kathryn is the granddaughter of the late Milton and Marie Frank of St. Louis and the late Dr. Frank and Teresa Morrison of Alton, Ill.

The future groom graduated from Parkway Central High School in 1997, Emory University School of Business in 2001 and University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law in 2005. He is currently employed as an attorney for HNTB Corporation in Kansas City, Mo. David is the grandson of the late Saul and Rhoda Fallick of New York City and the late Robert and Eleanor Flanders of Boston.

David and Kathryn met in the summer of 2009 through a mutual friend. They became engaged over Memorial Day weekend, 2011, while vacationing on Sanibel Island, Fla. Following an April 21 wedding at the Saint Louis Club, the couple will reside in Kansas City.
