Elizabeth Rose Staniforth and Beamer Adam Aston were married October 22 in an intimate ceremony officiated by the Rev. John Moore at the St. Louis Marriott West. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and music by the Chesterfield Quartet. Dinner and dancing followed, along with memorable speeches from the bride’s family and the wedding party. The groom’s sister-in-law surprised him with a Harry Potter-themed groom’s cake. Later, guests were treated to a pizza buffet and dachshund-shaped cookies in honor of the couple’s mischievous pet.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Jane Staniforth of Chesterfield. The bride’s sister, Taylor Staniforth, served as maid of honor and Nicole Feldmann served as a bridesmaid. Elizabeth is a neuroscience doctoral candidate at Wake Forest School of Medicine. She is the granddaughter of John Hammond of Chesterfield.
The groom is the son of Shawn Hardy of St. Charles. Peter Moret served as best man and MarcAnthony Foote served as groomsman. Logan Phillips, unable to serve as a groomsman due to deployment, was there in spirit. Beamer is the director of childcare services at the YMCA.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. They will reside in Winston Salem, N.C.
