Claire Broderick Copeland and Hugh Danford Tychsen were married March 5 at Church of the Annunziata in Ladue in a ceremony officiated by Monsignor John Leykam. A private reception followed, which included a fireworks display and cake cutting with an 1859 Marine Corps sword.

The bride is employed as an early childhood teacher at Shaare Zedek Early Childhood Center in University City. She is the daughter of Robert and Deborah Copeland of Wildwood. Sister of the bride Caroline Mohrmann served as maid of honor.

The groom is expected to graduate later this month from Washington University’s MBA program and has accepted a position at Express Scripts. Brother of the groom Andrew Tychsen was best man.

Following a honeymoon to the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Richmond Heights.
