Christopher and Cindy Vuxton of Warrenton, Va., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Alexandra Mary Vuxton, to Robert Bradley Guest, son of Bob and Carolyn Guest of Ladue.

The bride-to-be graduated from Fauquier High School in 2005 and University of Virginia in 2009 with a B.A. in history and bioethics. She received her J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School in 2012. Alex is the granddaughter of Beverly and the late Jackson Doane and the late Anne and George Vuxton.

The future groom graduated from John Burroughs School in 2006 and received a B.S. in finance and economics from University of Virginia in 2010. Currently, he is employed by Proctor & Gamble in Baltimore. Brad plans to pursue a J.D. degree at Harvard Law School in the fall. He is the grandson of Robert and Doris Guest of Washington, Mo., and Ronald and Anne Henges of St. Louis and Naples, Fla.

The couple met in 2008 during a study abroad program at University College at Oxford and became engaged in Nashville in November. They are planning a spring 2013 wedding in Virginia. The couple will reside in Boston.
