Runway Lights Fashion Show Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis By Diane Anderson Variety’s annual Runway Lights Fashion Show at The Chase Park Plaza featured the 2012 collection of fashion designer Carmen Marc Valvo. Valvo, whose designs have become staples at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman and countless other specialty stores, has designed for the likes of HRH Princess Madeleine of Sweden, Beyonce and Katie Couric. In addition, Variety Children's Chorus performed and Variety's Ameren PowerKids took the runway in their power wheelchairs, proudly wearing outfits custom-designed by Valvo. Fox 2’s Mandy Murphey was the emcee. All proceeds from the luncheon directly benefit local children with physical and mental disabilities. Thelma Steward served as honorary event chair while her daughter, Kimberly Steward, served as runway show chairman.
