The St. Louis Learning Disabilities Association held its 20th Annual Unlock the Magic of Learning event on September 30, 2017 at Grant’s Farm with honorary chairs Billy and Christi Busch and sponsored by Centene Charitable Foundation and Home State Health Plan. Sherry Farmer and Margie Ellisor of FOX 2 News were the emcee’s for this family friendly event, which included a buffet dinner, silent and live auctions, children’s activities, and live performances by The Muny Kids and Smash Band. Proceeds from the event help provide local children with learning disabilities the opportunity to reach their full potential. Last year, St. Louis LDA made an impact with over 5,100 children, parents and educators in the greater St. Louis area. Students of all ages, parents and professionals are provided with education, support and consultation to help with learning differences, attention deficit disorder, dyslexia and autism spectrum disorder in order to provide the strategies to create a path for success.
