Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital opened its new Berges Family Foundation Adolescent Center, an expansion that has more than doubled the hospital size. The new wing adds 26 new beds, allowing Ranken Jordan to help many more kids with a total of 60 beds.

The Ranken Jordan Grand Opening was designed as an expression of appreciation to the Berges family and the many donors who have made the east-wing expansion possible. Hundreds of community guests will had the opportunity to see the hospital’s dramatic progress and envision a future as bright as the afternoon light that shines in the new atrium windows.

The Ranken Jordan east-wing expansion is the product of an experienced team that designed and built the original Maryland Heights hospital in 2004: McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., and SPACE Architecture + Design. The evening included self-guided tours and brief messages from several people, including Ranken Jordan board president Bill Willhite, Lauri Tanner and former patient Kiland Sampa.
