The Fabulous Fox Theatre was the perfect venue for the annual Bob Costas Benefit for SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center. NBC sportscaster Costas greeted a cheering crowd of 4,500 who laughed at the humorous antics of comedian Robert Klein, and moved to the nostalgic rhythms and song favorites of recording artist Paul Simon and his full band accompaniment. The event’s only “Sound of Silence” was Simon’s concluding solo.
