2012 Man and Woman of the Year Grand Finale Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Gateway Chapter By Diane Anderson The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Gateway Chapter held its Man and Woman of the Year Celebration at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Clayton. The two winners, Joshua Baker of Crestwood, and Mary Pillsbury Wainwright of Wildwood, were named Man & Woman of the Year. . Every dollar counted as one vote. Their totals will now be entered into the national competition for Man & Woman of the Year. More than $350,000 was raised for local patients and researchers so that patients have the best possible outcomes throughout their cancer diagnosis. Also in attendance with their families were Boy and Girl of the year, Evan and Shamorie who are currently undergoing maintenance treatment and were a great source of inspiration. Special guest appearance included Kathy Garver of “Family Affair.” J.Kim Tucci served and emcee and auctioneer. John Sanders was the evening’s chairperson.
