This year, Landmarks Association celebrated its Most Enhanced Awards recently at the .Zack, 3224 Locust Street in Grand Center. Fourteen buildings throughout the St. Louis Area Neighborhoods received awards. Since incorporation in 1959, Landmarks Association has been committed to the idea that historically and architecturally significant buildings are unique assets that have the capacity to contribute in meaningful ways to the prosperity of the St. Louis community. Award winners are selected based on the difficulty of the project, the capacity of the project to have a transformational effect on its surrounding area, the historical or architectural significance of the building, and on the project’s power to inspire.
