It’ll be an extra special Father’s Day at CIRCUS FLORA this weekend, since three of the performers are new fathers this year! Proud dads include GIOVANNI ZOPPE, who plays Nino the Clown and Sancho Panza in this season’s Ingenioso, equestrian aerialist SASHA NEVIDONSKI and aerial performer ANDREW ADAMS. Their babies range in age from 4 to 11 months and have small roles in the production. Incidentally, we’re told Circus Flora is partnering with the SAINT LOUIS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA to celebrate its 25th anniversary next year. Expect circus performances at Powell Hall in January!
Welcome to DOUGLAS LOWNEY, the new principal of Villa Duchesne. Lowney previously served as head of the English department at Sacred Heart Schools in Atherton, Calif. He officially takes over as principal next month, succeeding PATTY FAGIN, who is leaving to become head of school at Stuart Country Day School in Princeton, N.J.
COCA has a new executive director: KELLY POLLOCK, who currently serves as the organization’s general manager, will assume her new role July 1. She succeeds founding director STEPHANIE RIVEN, who is leaving to work for David Bury Associates in New York.

Some $20,000 has been raised so far by staffers at DOMINIC MICHAEL SALON for a former colleague battling cancer. The salon recently held a cut-a-thon for TODD BROWNING, during which stylists donated the costs of their individual services to help Todd survive his illness. We’re told donations are still pouring in…

If you’ve ever invited people to a party knowing they can’t come or have been embarrassed when your dog violated a neighbor’s lawn, this is a must-read. We’re told Marsh wrote the book to cheer himself up following open heart surgery last summer.
Upscale furniture retailer I.O. METRO will soon make its St. Louis debut. The Arkansas-based specialty import furniture and accessories store is slated to open an 8,500-square-foot space at The Boulevard in late July.

Bravo to 17-year-old MELISSA WANG of Ladue Horton Watkins H.S., who recently received the Alice B. Schindler Student Award for her piano skills. Melissa, a student of LAURA SCHINDLER, received a cash award and performed compositions by Muczynski, Bach and Chopin in concert at the event sponsored by the Rubinstein Music Club of St. Louis.
