All in the family…An exhibition by a group of St. Louis siblings is on display at The Old Orchard Gallery in Webster Groves through May 7. Brothers and Sisters, A Family of Artists features the works of JEANNE McGAULEY CONWAY, PATRICK McGAULEY, PEG McGAULEY DIETZ, ELLEN McGAULEY WATT and JOSEPH McGAULEY, all raised in Richmond Heights by JACK and MARGARET McGAULEY, who moved to St. Louis in 1952 with their eight children. The artists’ media range from sculpture and oils to watercolors and photography.

    Commencement notes…Journalist COKIE ROBERTS will be in town next week to deliver the commencement address at Maryville University. Roberts also will be presented with an honorary doctor of humane letters during the May 7 ceremony. On May 20, Nobel laureate and human rights activist ELIE WIESEL will address graduates at Washington University, where he will also receive an honorary doctor of humane letters degree.

    We salute a number of local musicians who were recently awarded prizes by the University of Missouri School of Music during the sixth annual Creating Original Music Project (COMP) competition. They are: MENEA KEFALOV and ANDE SIEGEL of Reed Elementary (First Place, Elementary, Song with Words category for A Spoonful of Heart), LILEANA IBUR of Wydown Middle School (Second Place, Middle School, Popular category for Spinning), BENEDETTO COLAGIOVANNI of Clayton H.S. (First Place, High School, Jazz for And the Prince Can Swing), and BELLA KALEI of Webster Groves H.S. (Third Place, High School, Popular category for By My Side).

    More than 700 attendees are expected at next month’s WOMEN OF ACHIEVEMENT (WOA) luncheon at The Ritz-Carlton. Excitement surrounding the May 10 event was palpable during a recent sponsors’ lunch held at Ruth’s Chris in Clayton.     VARIETY CHILDREN’S THEATRE is presenting The Wizard of Oz for its third annual production at The Touhill in October. The theatre, an initiative that brings together children of all abilities with professional adults, is conducting auditions May 14 at The Conservatory of Theatre Art Rehearsal Spaces (17 S. Old Orchard in Webster Groves). Child ren of all abilities are encouraged to try out.
