    Coming soon..CIRCUS FLORA’s 25th season jubilee, Vagabond Adventures, will reunite some of its beloved performers over the years, including the Flying Wallendas, the St. Louis Arches, the Flying Pages, UNA MIMNAGH on the corde lisse (vertical rope), Circus Flora co-founder and performer ALEXANDRE PAVLATA and GIOVANNI ZOPPE as Nino the Clown.

Vaga bond Adventures takes flight June 2 through 26 at Grand Center. Artistic director IVOR DAVID BALDING offered a sneak peak last weekend before a delighted crowd at Three Creek Farm. He also revealed that they have plans to launch a ‘clown therapy’ program at area children’s hospitals, promoting healing through laughter.

    Hall of Famer STAN MUSIAL is the subject of a new book by New York Times sports columnist GEORGE VECSEY. Stan Musial: An American Life weaves together the remembrances of those who played alongside, worked with, and covered ‘Stan the Man’ over the course of his seven decades in the national spotlight. Vecsey will appear at a May 11 book-signing and discussion at OB Clark’s in Brentwood beginning at 7 p.m.

    Waiting for a verdict…The MICDS Mock Trial team, winners of the Missouri State Championship for the second consecutive year, is in Phoenix, Ariz., this weekend for the national championships. The team consists of VIVEK BISWAS, AASH CHALASANI, WILL JOHNSTON, CAROLINE ROUSE, ALI DALTON, LAUREN HUTTON-WORK, TEDDY MURPHY, CORTHAY SCHOCK and CHRISTINA ROUSE. They are coached by faculty members CHRIS RHODES, MARK AUTRY and KAREN WILDMAN, and consulting attorney REBECCA NICKELSON of Hepler Broom.

    St. Louis teen JACOB BERNSTEIN has been selected as one of 10 members across the country of generationOn’s first-ever Youth Advisory Council. generationOn is a global youth service movement. Jacob, who attends Clayton H.S., was chosen because of his commitment to service in the community, including serving as volunteer at food drives, car washes and at Saint Louis Crisis Nursery.

    BYRD STYLE LOUNGE is officially unveiling its new ‘redistributed’ couture concept this weekend with a May 6 fashion party to introduce its vintage designer inventory. Names include Marni, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana and Prada.
