They’re still swinging at the ST. LOUIS SYMPHONY over a successful Red Velvet Ball Swings! gala that featured WYNTON MARSALIS and the JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER ORCHESTRA. A ‘Platinum Party’ was hosted by ARNOLD and HAZEL DONALD at their Huntleigh home the night before, where guests enjoyed cocktails, Creole cuisine and desserts, and entertainment from a jazz trio. Marsalis, the guest of honor, happened to be celebrating his birthday, so the hosts had a beautiful music-themed birthday cake wheeled out for him, and gala chair DAVE STEWARD presented him with a St. Louis Blues jersey. The birthday boy also played an impromptu set, much to the guests' delight!
