The Wright stuff…Joanne Kohn, chairman of the Frank Lloyd Wright House in Ebsworth Park, has been elected to the board of the Chicago-based Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy, an international historic preservation organization.

Lucky her! St. Louis native Lauren Padawer’s line of spa-type mask products for face and body, Alaska Glacial Mud Co., was featured in the December issue of Lucky Magazine.

Going green? Welcome to www.stlouisgreen.com, a Web site recently launched by local nonprofit GreensideUp!, a social and economic network of people and organizations working to make St. Louis sustainable.

Hanukkah happenings…Schnucks Ladue Crossing will host its annual Hanukkah Celebration on Dec. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Barnes & Noble. The event will include singing led by students at H.F. Epstein Hebrew Academy, storytelling and plenty of chocolate gelt to go around. West County Center in Des Peres is also getting into the spirit. The mall is encouraging holiday shoppers to drop off canned goods to its Concierge Center on the lower level through Dec. 9. The cans will be used to create a 10-foot menorah designed by Gray Design Group and built by Pernikoff Construction Company. It will be on display until Dec. 13, when the cans will be disassembled and donated to The Jewish Food Pantry.

Shopping for a cause…St. Louis artist Linda Solovic, a Washington University faculty member, has donated two unique ornament designs to SSM Cardinal Glennon Childrens Medical Center, which will sell them to raise funds for families in need of medical care. To purchase the $5 ornaments, visit www.glennon.org.

Happy Birthday to Saint Louis Bread Co., which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Today, the company, under the name Panera Bread, has more than 1,100 bakery cafes and does close to $2.5 billion in annual sales! Seen on the scene of the big anniversary bash at its original location on Manchester Road in Kirkwood was executive VP John Maguire, chairman and CEO Ron Shaich, founders Ken Rosenthal and Doron Berger, and CFO Mike Kupstas.

Congrats to Rohan Woods head of school Kelly Horn, who was recently awarded a Klingenstein Visiting Fellowship by the Klingenstein Center for Independent School Education. One of only 25 fellows from applicants around the world, Horn will participate in the intense two-week program at Columbia University. Other local alumni of the program include heads of school from Chesterfield Day School, John Burroughs, New City School and Visitation Academy.

Kudos to National City Bank, which recently donated $125,000 to COCA’s ‘Access to Excellence’ capital campaign to help renovate and expand its historic headquarters and endow its faculty positions, student scholarships and outreach programming.

Bravo! Stages St. Louis has recently announced the members of TeamSTAGES, a new teen touring troupe created to represent the professional musical theater company at local community and corporate events. Laurence Maroney St. Louis native and New England Patriots running back, was spotted at Pujols 5 recently. Maroney was in town visiting family during his team’s off-week.
