Puttin’ on the Ritz By Bryan Schraier With more than 15 movie-themed packages raffled off, 11 live auction items auctioned off by Adam Jokisch as well as more than $50,000 raised before dinner alone, this year’s Assistance League St. Louis Puttin’ on the Ritz fundraising dinner and auction was a fantastic success. President Patty Alvarez welcomed guests, who danced to the swinging sounds of Benefit Blues Band and enjoyed the Elite Jazz Show Choir from Central Visual and Performing Arts High School. The event chair was Pat Hutton, vice-chair was Bonnie Turner, fun packages chair was Kathie Mundschenk, while KMOV’s Vickie Newton served as mistress of ceremonies.
