When…125 children, representing 52 families, attended the annual Saint Louis Crisis Nursery Family Party? The event is held to celebrate the families involved in Crisis Nursery’s Family Empowerment Program. The program provides in-home child development assessments, educational toys and books, parent education groups and support to families in crisis. Guests enjoyed breakfast and lunch, crafts, cupcake decorating and Valentine’s Bingo. The Cardinals’ Fredbird attended along with Mickey Mouse and Princess Tiana.

When…Hundreds of St. Louisans participated in the third annual St. Luke’s Hospital Day of Dance at the Hilton St. Louis Frontenac? The Spirit of Women event provides easy steps to get active and take action for each woman’s health. Participants learned fun dance steps from instructors coordinated by Dance St. Louis. Physicians and health educators from St. Luke provided free health screenings and information about health topics.

When…Coldwell Banker Gundaker raised $11,000 to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Metro St. Louis? The money was raised at the Mardi Gras themed Second Annual Trivia Night. More than 350 guests attended to support the cause and answer 120 trivia questions.

When…Bob Fox, chairman of Casa de Salud, and his wife Maxine Clark donated $10,000 to Casa de Salud? Fox and Clark, who is the CEO of Build-A-Bear Workshop, received the Jane and Whitney Harris St. Louis Community Service Award from Washington University. They donated a portion of their award to the nonprofit organization, which provides care for under-and uninsured immigrants. Pictured: Mark Wrighton, Bob Fox, Maxine Clark and Jorge Riopedre.

When…Whitfield families and alumni got together for the ‘Shop Like a Rock Star’ event at Saks Fifth Avenue? The event was held to benefit the school’s Montage Auction. Guests at the event took part in a private shopping experience with discounts, food, drinks, makeovers and manicures. Those in attendance were able to view Gucci’s spring 2011 Trunk Show, held exclusively for Saks. Five percent of the purchases from the evening were put toward Whitfield’s Montage Auction, and nearly $2,000 was raised. Pictured: Danielle Nalley and Joyce Pernoud.
