When…the Humane Society of Missouri (HSMO) hosted more than 200 guests at the ‘Art for Animals’ gala at Old Warson Country Club? Thirteen one-of-a-kind designer pet beds created by local artists, architects and interior designers were auctioned at the black-tie event. Afterward, guests enjoyed a gourmet dinner and danced to the sounds of the Fabulous Motown Revue. Proceeds will benefit the HSMO’s Doolittle Fund, providing veterinary care for homeless pets. When…St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay, representatives from Geile-Leon Marketing Communications, the St. Louis Cardinals and the World Wildlife Foundation announced this year’s Earth Hour event? Area residents and businesses were challenged to turn off all non-essential lights and appliances for one hour on March 28. When…160 friends, families, students and young alumni of Chesterfield Day School (CDS) celebrated ‘A Night to Shine’ at Kemp Auto Museum? The event raised $95,000 from silent and live auctions and will benefit CDS, which has provided Montessori-based and traditional education for students from 18 months through grade six since 1962. When…more than 500 St. Louisans took part in the St. Luke’s Hospital Day of Dance for Health? St. Luke’s brought the national event to St. Louis for the first time to provide local families with easy steps to get active. Participants learned fun dance moves from instructors organized by Dance St. Louis. St. Luke’s physicians and health educators also provided free health screenings and information about important health topics.
