When...the REALTOR Housing Fund (RHAF) received $5,690 from Dielmann Sotheby’s International Realty? When…nearly 250 community leaders, educators and parents attended the second annual Ladue Education Foundation Community Breakfast at the Frontenac Hilton? Ladue Schools superintendent Dr. David Benson, pictured, delivered the State of the District address, highlighting the many accomplishments of students and teachers in the district. Ladue Education Foundation president Susan Ryan shared details of the foundation’s activities and plans for the future. The breakfast raised $20,000 for the Ladue Education Foundation.

When…Da-Com Corporation donated $20,000 to Special Olympics? The grant supports training and competition for more than 2,500 Special Olympics athletes in Missouri and Illinois. When…the ‘Greek Golf Open’ celebrated its 15th tournament at Topawingo National Golf Club?  The event has become a major source of funding for The Hellenic Spirit Foundation’s many programs in the St. Louis community.  The total amount raised at the tournament was almost $75,000. When…more than 2,000 walkers participated in Memory Walk 2008 to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association?  The walk took place at Forest Park and featured a performance by the Memory Drummers. The organization’s mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. When…the wait staff of Lucas Park Grill presented Operation Food Search with the $1,585 they collected from diners during Downtown Restaurant Week? Lucas Park Grill sold the most ‘extra helpings’ out of the 24 participating restaurants. Downtown Restaurant Week raised a total of $5,830 and will help Operation Food Search provide food and other non-perishables to more than 100,000 people a week through its network of 250 food pantries in Missouri and Illinois.
