When…the 30th anniversary Beaux Arts Council dinner celebrated the Saint Louis Art Museum’s featured exhibition, Joe Jones: Painter of the American Scene? When…the staff at Butler’s Pantry donated their time and talents to create a birthday party for the kids at Camp Hope, a weekend-long camp for HIV-positive children and their families? The birthday party was Camp Hope’s grand finale, celebrating each child’s life.

When…the St. Louis Cardinals and Siteman Cancer Center announced they have raised more than $57,000 for cancer research from the sale of special Cardinals baseball hats? For each hat sold as part of the team’s ‘Tip of the Cap’ promotion, $10 of the proceeds went directly to Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine to fund cancer research.

When…the Holy Redeemer Alumni Association held a ribbon cutting event to commemorate the completion of a brick garden? The garden was built to beautify an area between Holy Redeemer Church and School, and commemorate the 100th year since the school was built. When…the American Jewish Committee honored the Kalishman family with its prestigious Natzach Award? The St. Louis Regional office of the AJC recognized Nancy Kalishman and her children, Susan and Paul Goldberg, John and Diane Kalishman, and Jim and Amy Kalishman, for the family’s inspiring leadership and steadfast commitment to making St. Louis a better place.

When…some 4,500 people attended OLIVER! the Broadway Musical, presented by Variety Children’s Theatre at the Touhill Performing Arts Center? Six shows featured children of all abilities including eight Variety children with physical or mental disabilities, nine equity actors and a full orchestra. When…Ranken Jordan, a pediatric specialty hospital, hosted its annual fall homecoming dance?
