City Academy is going full STEAM ahead after receiving an $18,200 grant from The Monsanto Fund to support the school’s new initiative. City Academy added art to STEM, a nationally-recognized strategy for teaching science, technology, engineering and math, to create STEAM. More than 50 guests gathered at Third Degree Glass Factory at this year’s Night at the Gallery to celebrate the work of The Ben Gurion Society of Jewish Federation of St. Louis. The Federation has allocated more than $287,000 for an Ethiopian Jewish community in Israel. Attendees watched live glass blowing demonstrations and viewed art by Ethiopian Israeli youth.
