More than 125 Webster University students, faculty and community members enjoyed a presentation from H. Melvin Ming, the president and CEO of Sesame Workshop. Ming’s presentation, Lessons from Sesame Street & Beyond, showcased the nonprofit’s work in domestic programs, international projects and technology to help children learn. Local shoppers and cashiers at two local Whole Foods Market stores teamed up to raise more than $40,000 for the St. Louis Area Foodbank. The Feed 4 More program will provide more than 160,000 meals to struggling families in the area. Raising $7,003, Whole Foods Market-Brentwood cashier Lisa Frumhoff brought in the most donations of any cashier in the Midwest.
