The kids from MICDS, who are regular volunteers with the organization, started the project, �Mack�s Backyard,� to raise funds and awareness so that homeless children have a place to play. The American Heart Association announced that Rossman School raised the most money in 2010-11 of any Missouri school that held both Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart fundraisers? Students at Rossman raised $11,176 for the organization, which is approximately $3,000 more than the second-place school.
The Arts and Education Council received a $125,000 gift from The Boeing Company? The company generously donated the money to benefit the Council�s annual fundraising campaign. A portion of the donation will be used to fund the fourth year of the Boeing/Arts and Education Council Collaborative Grant program. The program is used to create and promote a more sustainable arts and cultural environment that engages people to become lifelong arts participants, patrons and practitioners.
