Assistance League of St. Louis held “Salute to the Stars,” a gala dinner and auction celebrating their various community programs in support of children, abused women, and other social needs. These programs include Operation School Bell®, clothes for kids, Steps to Success, shoes for kids, My Own Fun Stuff, cheer-up kits for kids, Operation Hug, teddy bears to share a hug, Project ROSE, support for abused women, and Assistance League Outreach, responding to unexpected community needs.
A cocktail reception with a large array of silent auction items featuring precious jewels, original paintings, concert tickets, and more, preceded an exciting oral auction and dinner.
“Salute to the Stars” is also an opportunity to honor individuals and businesses that support programs through donations and services. This year’s “stars” were: David Bentley Photography, Flair Home Staging, Miss Elaine, and Talbots. Bekki Miller served as event chair along side auction chair Susie Tendler. Mike Brown led the evening as master of ceremonies.
