Gilda’s Club St. Louis, St. Louis Magazine AT HOME, and Neiman Marcus, sponsored a dazzling high fashion fundraiser at the luxurious Neiman Marcus at Plaza Frontenac.  Attendees were invited to dress in black so that style experts could outfit the women in splashy Spring accessories perfect for a fashionista on a budget.

A magnificent spread of menu favorites were generously provided by J. Bucks, LaChef Catering, McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant, Napoli 2, Patty Long Catering, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, ~Scape, and Zodiac Restaurant.  In addition, HOLLYBERRY Catering, Moxy Bistro, Patty Long Catering, Steve Becker Fine Dining, and The Smokehouse sweetened up the crowd with their forbidden yet delightful desserts.  Also available for samples were Annie Gunn’s, Mazara, and Portabella.

The highlight of the evening was the Accessor-Raffle, featuring high-end names in fashion and make-up including, Manolo Blahnik, Bobby Brown, Trish McEvoy, Gucci, Hermes, Jemma Kidd, Prada, Swiss Army, and David Yurman.

This special event was co-chaired by Sedef Albrecht, Susan Block, Marcia Brockman, Roberta Cohen, Dr. Maude Kandula, Christy Marshall, and Kim Miller, along with Neiman Marcus’ General Manager Allen Barber, and Public Relations Manager, Ellen Soule.

Gilda’s Club hopes to be the premiere emotional and social support community for men, women, and children living with cancer. Their services include support and networking groups, lectures, workshops, and social events in a non-residential, homelike setting.

Proceeds from the Gild-A-Lilly will help fund the efforts to establish hospital-based “clubhouses” for Gilda’s Club St. Louis.  These spaces will be suites at local medical facilities where men, women, and children will be able to come for cancer support for the ‘whole, family, the whole time.’

More than 13,000 was raised!
