A record crowd of 1,500 savored ‘A Tasteful Affair’ at the Chase. The 20th annual benefit for Food Outreach Inc. raised more than $280,000 to help people with HIV/AIDS or cancer. Over the years, this event has raised more than $2.1 million, enabling Food Outreach to serve 340,000 meals annually to 1,500 clients and help them regain a healthy life through proper nutrition and education.

“The heart and soul of our organization is born of the passion we feel in fulfilling our mission,” explained executive director Greg Lukeman. “We are grateful to all who support us as we help our clients fight the most difficult battles of their lives.”

Helming the celebration were Gwen Jamboretz, Susie Moriconi and Denise Phelabaum-Evans. Honorary chair was Daniel Getman, with Sylvie Sherman as junior chair and Dr. Tom DeFer as advisory chair. Co-emcees were Heidi Glaus of KSDK and Gilberto Pinela of STL TV.
