Food Outreach began twenty years ago with a group of people who decided to cook nutritious meals for seven friends. Today Food Outreach serves those with HIV/AIDS and cancer with meals and nutritional counseling to enhance their quality of life. This volunteer driven non-profit is funded largely by private donations. More than 250,000 meals are provided each year with the help a dietician, general staff, and hundreds of generous volunteers. Looking forward, Executive Director Greg Lukeman would like add persons afflicted with other diseases to their mission of promoting healthful living through dietary education and nutritious food.
