The Department of Special Education of the Archdiocese of St. Louis celebrated its 8th annual Celebrity Waiter Dinner on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 at the Cardinal Rigali Center. Upon arrival, approximately 175 guests were greeted by students and directed to the Fleur de Lis Room for the cocktail reception with music provided by The Kipp Trio. Zip Rzeppa served as Master of Ceremonies. After dinner, Archbishop Robert J. Carlson was recognized as the distinguished honoree and accepted the award on behalf of all the staff who work with the students in Catholic special education schools. The evening ended with an oral auction and the announcement of the Celebrity Waiter of the Year which was awarded to Doug Cusumano.
