The American Red Cross of Greater St. Louis held its 100th-year celebration recently at The Union Station in St. Louis. Guests were encouraged to dress in creative red tie and gathered in the grand hall for cocktails followed by dinner and a presentation in midway. Jim McGrath, Chairman of the Board welcomed guests as the Color Guard of the United States Transportation Command Joint Service presented the Flag Ceremony. Opening remarks were made by Cindy Erickson, Chief Executive Officer and Veronica and Randy McDonnell, the Centennial Co-Chairs. John Hancock held the fund-a-need for the Red Cross Mission Moment raising over $100,000. The evening recognized and celebrated the Red Cross 100 year commitment to those in need, and saluted those who support the mission.
