The debut in June was impressive and the reviews have been, too. But if you haven’t seen the Alamo Condominiums at Demun, don’t miss your opportunity, because there won’t be an encore. The nine-unit property, developed by Cornerstone and marketed by Reid Case Group, is almost sold out.

“For buyers who want quality new construction, luxury finishes and a fantastic value, this really is their last chance. There are only two condominium homes left at the Alamo,” says Ellen Reid, principal of Reid Case Group, a residential real estate firm specializing in maximizing returns in a complex economic environment. “We’ve almost sold out in just a few months, and our buyers feel like they have finally found what they’ve been looking for, at an unheard-of Clayton price. We’re celebrating all around!” The rapid sell-out, she adds, duplicates the success of another Reid Case project in this area, the Demun Pointe Condominiums.

Describing the building as a “contemporary interpretation of Art Deco styling,” Reid credits the popularity of the Alamo to several factors. “The first thing is the ideal location. Demun is close to everything—restaurants, cafés, the Clayton business district, and of course, Forest Park. And this is brand new construction, which is becoming almost impossible to find in this area.” Thoughtful consideration was given to energy concerns, she adds, and the building is not simply new— it’s Energy Star-rated and very efficient, for lower heating and cooling bills.

Like all of the condominium homes at the Alamo, the remaining two units are spacious and open, awash with light from oversized windows. “They both have southern exposure, private balconies and 10-foot ceilings. The natural light throughout is just fantastic— and very unusual in a condo.” Open floor plans add to the sense of expansive space, making these homes ideal for entertaining, she adds. And whether you want to explore your own creative side or call the caterer, the kitchen is party-ready, too. “This is definitely a cook’s kitchen,” Reid says. “It features a 5- burner gas cooktop, stainlesssteel appliances, 42-inch cabinets and granite counters.” The home’s 2.5 baths also feature granite-topped vanities, including the double-bowl vanity in the master bath, along with porcelain tile and shower surrounds, and Kohler fixtures. “And both of the remaining units have a nice den, opening right off the main living space. It’s perfect for a sitting room, reading room or office.”

With a combination of quality features and finishes, and a great location, the Alamo is designed to please the most discriminating buyer and still be a tremendous value, with prices of the two remaining homes starting in the high 300’s. “This is one of the last moderately priced condominium developments in Clayton, not just Demun,” Reid says. “We sold out Demun Pointe last summer, and we’re on our way to another success. This is truly your last chance!”
