LN: What are you excited about for Richmond Heights in 2011?
Mayor Beck: We have several big projects that are coming together: Things are starting to come around with the funds that have been invested in the Cheshire Inn, with the new owners putting about $12 million into renovations. And there is going to be another new hotel at Brentwood Boulevard and Clayton Road. Also Nordstrom will open in September in the Galleria.
LN: What are some of the best aspects of the community?
Mayor Beck: Our architecture and everything about the city is very diverse, and we have many longtime residents. Like some of our neighbors, we have almost a small town feel in the middle of the big city. I think that’s why we like the inner circle; it’s in the very center of everything. That’s what makes us stand out.
