Bricked terraces overlooking a serene lake. French doors leading out onto a second-floor balcony. Private suites with high-end finishes. With expansion projects nearing completion this month, residents of Mari de Villa can look forward to living in high style.
“By using the best of materials and designs, the architecture and beauty will stand the test of time,” says president Fred Wiesehan, who explains that the additions to Mari de Villa’s west wing include a state-of-the-art physical therapy space, as well as expanded living and dining rooms.
The second-floor rehab room features a wall of glass with French doors opening onto a covered balcony, providing a place for residents “to enjoy their time while receiving therapy, in an overall effort to get them well,” Wiesehan explains.
While the all-inclusive Town & Country community offers everything a person may need or want, Mari de Villa also helps its residents incorporate their individual taste into their new homes. “We encourage our guests to bring furniture from home and decorate as they would like,” Wiesehan says.
Residents will certainly be able to make themselves at home in the eight new luxury suites, scheduled to open in mid-June. The private skilled nursing rooms are almost twice the size of current accommodations, and include upscale finishes.
The individual balconies for each new suite offer either a view of the lake or the new formal gardens that feature a perimeter pathway, central fountain with seating, and lush landscaping. “Our guests really enjoy spending time outside with their families, so we want to provide plenty of beautiful outdoor space,” notes Mari de Villa VP Mary Kay Wiesehan.
As the first phase of this expansion winds down at the 51-year-old community, Wiesehan looks forward to the next phase, which will add semi-independent living villas to the 54 existing ones. “These villas are for people who want the independent lifestyle, but also have services and amenities available to them,” she says.
Mari de Villa’s new additions blend seamlessly into the existing community, with a relaxing overall atmosphere to make residents comfortable, no matter what part of the 27-acre grounds they are on, according to Mary Kay Wiesehan. “The look of Mari de Villa offers timeless elegance. It’s like someone who wears pearls—it never goes out of style.” LN
